Invested across residential, warehousing, education infra, retail, hospitality & offices via equity, debt & structured investments. Worked with firms like Investcorp, IDFC Alternatives, Saffron Advisors, JLL. Been an entrepreneur too (2000-2005)
Most recently was Head of RE funds at Investcorp India (global AUM ~$50 Bn), managing an ~INR 2800 cr portfolio of residential, warehousing & education infra assets on behalf of domestic and global investors. Responsible for strategy, fund raising, investments, asset management and exits
NISM certified Alternative Investment Manager. Also teaches Alternative Investments at IIM Bangalore
MBA, MDI Gurgaon (1998); MRICS

KUNAL SABHARWAL

17 years in Indian real assets
Deployed equity and structured debt capital across residential, office, warehousing and student housing asset classes. Also handled asset & portfolio management post investment
Most recently was co-heading investments for ESR India, a global warehousing developer & asset manager (global AUM ~$150 Bn/ India AUM ~$400 Mn)
Overall, been involved with a portfolio of ~INR 2700 cr during the last role and while at Good Host (India’s leading student housing platform), IDFC Alternatives, and Shapoorji Pallonji Real Estate
Experience includes working with asset development & ownership platforms anchored by global investors such as GIC, Warburg Pincus and Actis. Also worked with Knight Frank in the past
